<p>Anyway, I am also going to look at the mediteranean diet since that is my background.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i was getting sicker the last couple of days. lack of energy, confusion, headache. 2 nights ago i gave up and exhaustedly went to sleep. I read awhile but it was one of those headaches that hurts too much too read but hurts too much too sleep. I layed there trying to falling asleep and felt shaky all over and my heart felt like it was beating hard. i was a mess and i felt really awful. i felt a little better after finally sleeping but the headache, exhaustion and swimmy head continued all day. My husband came home from work and said I looked sick and pale. I decided to eat a cooked dinner with the family, it was a bean and cheese quesadilla. I felt better last night and this morning. I read the signs could have been anemia and I think I was anemica as a kid, gonna call my mom and see if she knows.</p>
<p>I am going to continue with my green smoothies and having lots of fruit and salads during the day. I will probably add in some chicken and fish and some other things. I will have to stop naming my diets. Obviously this won&#8217;t be &#8220;eating raw&#8221; I have learned in the past week (eating 100% Raw) that I don&#8217;t WANT to sprout mung beans and dehydrate my food. I think there is a healthy balance that I can achieve eating natural whole foods without going to an extreme.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know exactly what is next but I feel better today than I have in the last few days eating raw.</p>

lots of fruit: grapes, mango, cherries, raspberries<br />
Green smoothie (kale, raspberry, banana &#8211; not a recommended combo!!)<br />
Salad: romaine, avocado, yellow onion w/ balsamic &amp; olive oil<br />
almonds</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Having fun eating raw. I don&#8217;t think I  going to do official weigh-ins but after 3 days I have lost 6 lbs. I feel good. I had a Bean Recipe Fail because I thought i could just soak some dryed beans and make a nice salad but it turns out some beans are toxic and can&#8217;t be eaten raw and also the beans are still very hard after soaking. Research is key lol  I am thinking about adding canned beans to my diet. They are not raw because they have been heated before canning but I would just rinse and use them without further cooking. I will probably settle somewhere around a 90-95% raw diet. we&#8217;ll see. i read anywhere over 75% is good. So far i&#8217;ve been 100% but i don&#8217;t want to be too strict or obsessive.</p>
<p>ok, on to the menu:</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Breakfast</strong></span><br />
2 bananas</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Lunch</strong></span><br />
Salad: Romaine lettuce with 1/2 avocado &amp; 1 small yellow onion, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a bit of sea salt.  This salad was unbelievable!!</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Dinner</strong></span><br />
Green Smoothie (spinach, banana, 6 strawberries, water)</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Snacks</strong></span><br />
3 red plums<br />
green grapes<br />
watermelon</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Goals for tomorrow:</strong></span> start using the Brita filter (i&#8217;m too lazy to fill it!!) Buy ice for smoothies, try Tai Chi video from library before it&#8217;s due</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So, I think I&#8217;ve eaten 100% raw for 2 days. I don&#8217;t know that I will stay 100% but the more I look around the more ideas I get. Also&#8230;my local supermarket has a full like of Lara Bars so I sampled the Apple Pie flavor and it was soooo good! Loved that there were practically no ingredients lol I&#8217;m used to everything in a package having a laundry list of weird ingredients!!</p>
<p>Today I made my first Green Smoothie. I somewhat feared the thing but it was soooo good!! If that was my first attempt then it can only get better! If you have a great smoothie recipe that can be made in a blender (i have no juicer or food processor) please share!!!</p>

<p>So, it was about 2 cups of spinach, 5 or 6 small local strawberries, 2 bananas. It was supposed to be 1 but i freaked out last minute because it looked thin and I added another banana. I look forward to making another one tomorrow &#8211; it was cool, yummy, inexpensive and filling!</p>
<p>To backtrack&#8230; here&#8217;s what I ate:</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Goal for tomorrow: </span></strong>Learn more about combining foods. Eat more protein. I am soaking 3 kinds of beans to make a bean/cucumber salad that I love. Also, i want to start eating more veggies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So i woke up with the intention of totally changing my way of eating. I weighed in at 182 lbs which is almost 10lbs more than i was wheni started this blog back in december. My eating has spiraled out of controlled once again, with a pattern of trying to low carb it and only making it through about 2 weeks. Years ago I had luck eating that way long term  but for the past 4 years it has been a total daily struggle so&#8230; something completely different.</p>
<p>I love fruits and can eat lots of fruit all day but haven&#8217;t let myself because of the sugar and the fact that I am so sugar addicted and lose control. Well, I don&#8217;t know anyone that got fat eating fruit!! So, I am reading about how you should eat fruit first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for proper digestion. It&#8217;s interesting. I want to learn about the right way to combine foods and how much fruig/veg/nuts/seeds i need to eat daily. i also love to eat salads, raw veg and nuts/seeds so really i think i can handle this.</p>
<p>I skipped breakfast so I could go to the library for Raw Food books then to produce store for some fruit/veg to eat! I felt full and happy all day yesterday, no headaches or anything, here is what i ate:</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Lunch</span></strong><br />
2 bananas<br />
2 red plums<br />
1/4 pint blackberries<br />
about a cup or more of cherries<br />
1 liter water</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>snacks </strong></span><br />
2 more plums<br />
green grapes<br />
cherries</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Dinner</strong></span><br />
romaine &amp; onion salad w/olive oil &amp; balsamic<br />
water</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>snack</strong></span><br />
more of those awesome cherries<br />
water</p>
<p>I had stuff on hand to make a smoothie but was so full I never managed!!</p>
<p>Plan for day 2: have the spinach smoothy for lunch to get some green leafies! start using fitday and drink lots of water!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have been reading about Raw Food Diets and am going to give it a try.  I am reading some of the books from my local library and trying to put together a plan to get enough calories and protein, etc. If anyone has experience with this let me know. I will try to keep track in FItday but it does become tedious. I don&#8217;t know what % I will eat raw daily. I think I could be happy at 90%+ I don&#8217;t generally go for things that are trying to be healthy versions of junk food so I think eating whole foods in their natural state will be best for me. Less prep too. I will be cooking and feeding the rest of the family thier SAD (standard american diet) while trying to stowly replace some of thier meals with raw and/whole healthy foods. They don&#8217;t eat too poorly for SAD because I cook everything and they don&#8217;t eat take out .</p>
